Dear Wonderful Community,
Adrian arrived home late May 28. I wish to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, support and generosity during this difficult period. Your kind words and warm thoughts sustained me while navigating the bureaucracy of the Los Angeles authorities to try to find what happened, to arrange for Adrian’s transport home and to retrieve his belongings. Now it is time to lay Adrian to a peaceful rest.
I am happy that at least, for too short a period, Adrian lived his dream. Last summer he performed solo shows at the House of Blues and Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood while also acting in episodes of the television drama, Sons of Anarchy. He was writing to the finish, and I feel lucky to have found his book of lyrics and a CD of his instrumentals in what had been assumed to be his lost backpack. In that pack were mementos from his short life—a drawing from a friend on the occasion of his 16th birthday, a photo of him and his two best friends from wilderness with whom he travelled to Thailand and worked in an elephant sanctuary, important papers, his phone and many other things that had meaning for him. Your help made it possible to spend the time discovering these cherished items.
Those wishing to pay their respects to Adrian can visit the Vajravarahi Meditation Center, 112 Hampton St. (and Rte. 114) Sag Harbor, where a place on the shrine is dedicated to him. Visitors are welcome Monday through Friday 9-11; 2-5; Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-8:30; and Saturday 10 AM-8 PM through June 25. A private burial is planned. A memorial service celebrating Adrian’s life will be held Sunday, September 6, Labor Day weekend.
