Last week's Hurricane Helene left our mother and her two dogs stranded in her home with nearly 4' of water flooding the interior. She's very fortunate and grateful to have come out of that experience safely.

While she's lucky to be in a position where she's dealing with the loss of things that are (mostly) replaceable, she still has a long road ahead to getting back on her feet. Nearly everything in her home was destroyed due to the flooding and water damage - food, clothing, appliances, furniture, family photos, etc. Her car was also destroyed. Her house will need extensive renovations in order to be habitable again.

Our mom is a generous person whose entire life is centered around helping others. Asking for help doesn't come easily to her, but we know she's been extremely humbled by the outpouring of love and support during this challenging time of rebuilding. Any contribution is greatly appreciated by our family.
