Support Student Organizers Right to Protest!

For a whole month, UChicago administration ignored student demands for a public meeting regarding the University's financial ties to the weapons manufacturers arming Isr*el* g*n*c*de of Palestinians. After a month of no agreement from the university to have a public meeting–not even a conversation–26 students were arrested for a holding sit-in of Rosenwald Hall.
Today, those charges were dropped. While these charges have been dismissed, these 26 students must now go through the process of getting their records expunged their criminal records. The fees charged by Cook County for expunging criminal records can cost up to $151.50 per expungement.
UChicago Alumni are calling on everyone to support students in expunging their records. The futures of these students, including their continued right to speak without fear of harsher legal punishment, should not be at risk after their act of solidarity with the Palestinian people and principled stand against UChicago's investment in Isr*el* g*n*c*d*.
Please support these students by donating through this GoFundMe. Any additional funds will be distributed to relief organizations with updated and confirmed entry into G*z*.
