Our friend and coworker Desean just had to have his second leg amputated this past weekend after a year of adjusting to his first amputation.
Desean works harder than most, never complains and always offers assistance to those who need it. We love working with Desean at Smokejumper for his clever sense of humor, his unmatched work ethic, his wide range of expertise and his kind heart.
Desean has always been someone to offer a helping hand to anyone in need and now he needs our help.
He will likely not be able to work for the foreseeable future; so any funds toward medical and general expenses and any kind words to pass along would be infinitely appreciated.

We are asking for your support of someone who has always supported Helena. Desean has been a loyal team member of the Home2 Suites in Helena since our opening.
He has worked tirelessly to make the Home2 something our team and our town could be proud of. Through all of his adversity, Desean has been a loyal and hardworking team member. After his first surgery, Desean conducted most of his job from his wheelchair which only he could do! He found creative ways to make the hardest jobs easier for him and kept our hotel in tip top shape while learning to walk again with his first prosthetic.
His work ethic is unmatched. In addition to being a hard worker, Desean is one of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. Each guest touched his heart and he did everything he could to make sure that each person had the best experience while being at our hotel. He supports each and every one of our team members through their training and beyond. He gets to know each one personally and takes that same caring approach to how he works with them. He wants them to have the best experience while they are here. I, personally, am better for knowing Desean and want the best for him in his recovery. By supporting him, we are giving back what he has given all of us: a chance to have the best experience.
