UCSD Project RISHI 2024 Summer India Trip

Greetings UCSD Project RISHI alumni, friends, and supporters,

We are pleased to introduce ourselves as Project RISHI (Rural India Social Health Improvement), dedicated to sustainable development in the village of Vemavaram through various health and social initiatives. Our committees work diligently throughout the year to conceptualize and execute these projects, leveraging insights from our contacts in Vemavaram.

This year, we are launching an online fundraising campaign aimed at securing resources for a specific project's materials and development. The funds raised will directly contribute to the advancement of our initiatives in Vemavaram.

As a registered 501c3 organization, we can provide necessary documentation for your donations. A Google form on our fundraising platform will collect your information for this purpose.

Additionally, here is a non-exhaustive list of items that can be purchased with the donations received:

1. Flashdrives - $20 each

2. Water bottles (quality-dependent) - $18 to $39 each

3. Stationary - $20.96 each

4. Mouse - $18 each

5. HbA1c Analyzer - $300

6. Vital Signs machines (3-5 needed) - $100 each

7. First Aid Kits - $50 each

8. Water Quality Lab Tests - $21.04 each

9. PH Meter for Water Quality Control Use - $9.35 each

10. Copper Water Storage Bins for Donation to Village to improve water quality - $14.88 each

11. Floss - $2 each

12. Knee brace - $12 each

Your generous donations will directly contribute to purchasing these supplies for our upcoming trip to Vemavaram, enabling us to continue our impactful work in the community.
