Produce Dungeon Party Short Film
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Tomasz, and a group of my friends is currently raising money to film and produce a short film, based on an exceedingly ambitious idea we had set out to create as a web series last year. With a pre and post-production team of 1, I managed to put everything I didn't have into this project, because I believed it in, and most of all I believed in the people doing it with me.
Nearly a decade ago, I was in Brazil visiting family during a summer vacation from school, when by chance, I had the opportunity to sit and speak to a family friend who worked in film. I told him how I was studying theatre because I thought it was essential to have a classical foundation, he asked me what I ultimately wanted to do, and I told him it was to work in Television and Film. He finished the conversation by telling me that my best chance and giving myself any opportunity to succeed, was to bet on myself and to make something. A year ago, when my friends and I made the first part of this project, we thought... what's the worst that could happen. All that to say, is we're back, and because we know how much work this is now for 5 people to accomplish, we want to do this right and revivify our proof of concept episode Dungeon Party: She Who Must Not Be Named and turn it into a stand-alone adventure... a one-off if you will. Following a group of Dungeons and Dragons Players who come together for their most dysfunctional campaign to date, this short film is going to explore the people who make up the Dungeon Party, and the why behind their intentions in playing the game.
We're currently seeking 6,000$ to fund and cover the basic necessities of completing this project—gear rental, costumes, labor, lighting, etc. We will make this project no matter what, with whatever we have, much like we did the first time. If you'd like to help make this campaign as gorgeous as it could, please consider donating. It just might be that if we have enough money to do a musical number we'll do it... just saying.
