I've decided to name this fundraiser based on the outpouring of support Hunter has received from his school during his absence. The support and positivity have meant the world to my sister and Hunter's entire family.

On Friday March 24, 2023 Hunter was out skiing, one of his many beloved past times. Hunter lost control and hit his head while going down the mountain. Thankfully he was wearing a helmet, however, the damage was severe. Hunter suffered a traumatic brain injury and Diffuse Axonal Injury as well as a punctured left lung. Hunter was intubated and Life Flighted to Dartmouth Childrens Hospital where he has remained since. He has suffered many lesions and small bleeds to his brain, mainly the part that controls movement to the left side of his body. The days following the accident were long and torturous for my sister as she had to sit helplessly by her child and just wait. Hunter has shown what a strong, able, and positive kid he truly is. On Monday, Hunter opened his eyes for the first time. Tuesday, Hunter said two words as he went for his MRI. Wednesday, Hunter had a brief conversation for the first time. Thursday, he started Pt where he finally moved the left side of his body. Today, Hunter was able to use both hands to roll forward in a wheelchair and had the Dean spirit to talk crap to his uncle. Every day has been a miracle thus far. The medical staff and Hunter's family were unsure what he would be cabale of achieving following this injury. Even with all of the amazing milestones that were met over the last week, Hunter has a long road of rehabilitation to get him back to being the active kid he deserves to be. He will be continuing his journey next week leaving Dartmouth and attending Spaulding Rehab in Boston. As a family, we cannot thank the Medics and Hospital Staff at Dartmouth Children's PICU enough for the hospitality and amazing work they have done aiding in Hunter's recovery. Hunter was and is very fortunate to have the very best in healthcare aiding him in his recovery. Our goal for this Go Fund Me is to relieve my sister of any of the financial burden that this will place on her. Thankfully she has health insurance unfortunately, the out-of-pocket expense is still high and she will remain out of work for the foreseable future. We want to take care of this for her so she can be where she needs to be, which is right by Hunter's side to support him during his long road to recovery. Again we would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support our family has received and continue to receive during this difficult time. It has truly shown how much kindness there is in this world. Thank you again for all of the support that has been shown and for support going forward, we are forever grateful.
