Help Mama Get Back On Her Feet (Literally)

We all suffer from the same sickness: Not asking for help when we need it the most. I need help. Three of the hardest words I have ever had to say.

Each of those hospital bracelets represent weeks and sometimes months off of work I’ve had to take in the past year due to invasive surgeries. The passing of two dear family members closely followed those surgeries, as well as the cost of their funerals.

A few weeks ago, I slipped and fell in the bathroom and all but shattered my leg bone. Due to all the time I have had to take off for my past cancer surgeries, I do not have enough hours for EI. According to the orthopaedic surgeon I saw today at VGH, I am going to be out of work for a minimum of 3 months but up to 6 months, depending on my healing.

After years of surgeries, invasive treatments, and therapies, my savings have dried up. Whatever you can manage will be a blessing and greatly appreciated.
