Memorial Fund for Brian Boucher
Donation protected
Brian Boucher (aka Simon Drax, writer and graphic designer) passed away due to complications from cancer on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Madison, WI. His long-time partner, Allison, was with him in his last moments, and he had just spent a wonderful week with his beloved children, Molly and Jack. He received his cancer diagnosis only two months before, and we are all shocked to lose him so soon.
Brian was born and raised in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and lived in Boston, MA; Manhattan, NY; Bethel, Connecticut (among other Connecticut cities); and Monona, Wisconsin. He was a graphic designer by training, and was an Art Director for major book publishing houses in NYC for a number of years; he worked in many other fields as well. As Simon Drax, he wrote and published four novels, a volume of poetry, and a regular webzine. Brian loved films, old anime, pagan philosophy, great writing, music, and art, holidays and celebrations, and the stories people entrusted him with. He loved his family above all else.
We plan to hold a small memorial in Wisconsin, and a memorial with his children and extended family on the East Coast.
Funds raised will go toward end-of-life expenses, memorials, and travel costs for Jack, Molly, and Allison to take care of his estate.
