Help Yami’s Critical Condition Medical Expenses

I’m so sorry to say that Ian and I’s dog Yami has recently shown signs of a life threatening medical emergency. He started turning yellow at 3am on the 19th, and was diagnosed the next afternoon after several tests and examinations.

The animal emergency center in Boone believes Yami has Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, or IMHA. Which is an autoimmune disease in dogs where the body attacks its own red blood cells. This can lead to very low red blood cell counts (anemia) that require multiple blood transfusions. He is in a critical state fighting right now, and currently beating the odds of his diagnosis. We are hopeful and willing to do anything we can to save him.

We are currently looking at $6,000+ in unexpected medical expenses. These expenses include his blood transfusions(s), IV’s, additional medication and tests, plus 48 hour round the clock care. We would greatly appreciate any financial help we can get at this time. We also understand that not everyone will be able to help financially, especially right before Christmas.
