Solace's First Annual Sol Food Fundraiser

As a new student-run volunteer organization, Solace hopes to assist the healthcare providers on our unit (ADTU 1st floor) and UF Health Shands Hospital’s geriatric population in any way that we can. We want to let them know that although we are not physically on the unit due to the current circumstances surround the COVID-19 pandemic, they are still in our thoughts and we admire their bravery.

Solace at UF is fundraising money with hopes of donating 5 meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) over the course of the Fall 2020 semester to the healthcare providers on the ADTU unit. We believe that providing a meal to the unit will remind the hospital heroes that they are appreciated, while doing so in the safest way possible.

With any money left over from our fundraiser, we hope to purchase materials for arts and craft kits for the geriatric patients on our unit. We hope that even though we cannot be with them physically, these kits will bring a smile to their faces and a bit of joy to their lives.

As an incentive, a donation of $200 or more will secure you a free Solace t-shirt! However, any donation, no matter how large or small, is much appreciated and will make an immense difference in the lives of both the healthcare providers and patients in the ADTU unit of UF Health Shands Hospital.
