**Update**
Sadly, after a nearly two-year fight against cancer, my Beloved and Beautiful Sister, Deasha Hill, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by Family and Loved Ones.
Deasha (Dee) is at Peace now. No more hospitals, no more treatments, no more medications, and, more importantly, no more pain.
Coincidentally, today, May 26th would have been Dee's 50th birthday. As our Family grieves this tremendous loss to Family, we humbly ask for your thoughts, prayers and support.
During Dee's extended illness, a number of medical, household and family expenses were incurred. And, it is anticipated that additional expenses may be incurred to cover any funeral or home going services.
In that regard, we again humbly request your thoughts, prayers and support during this challenging time.
Hi, my name is Jasmine Hill, I am the sister of Deasha Hill and I, along with our family and community are in the process of raising funds to assist with the coverage of her medical insurance.
What a journey it has been. After a few months of uncertainty and pain, in November 2022, Deasha was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. This cancer occurs when the cells on the bladder start to grow out of control. After undergoing two major surgeries, causing extreme pain to her lower body, in January 2024, Deasha's job of 20+ years has now placed her on disability. Unable to work at this time, the disability will at least ensure that she receives coverage from her insurance during this difficult time. However, her deductible cost is $760 per month.
The hope of this fundraiser is to raise $20,000 to be placed in a secure account that would go directly towards paying her medical bills and some of her monthly household expenses as well. This will provide some sort of relief financially so that she can concentrate on getting healthier and continue on this journey of life, when things seemed to be working against her. She has been given 1 year to recuperate from her medical procedures before her job is completely terminated. This is a very uncomfortable ask, that our family is embarking upon but necessary. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generous contribution and prayers during this time.
Thank you in advance, The Hill Family.
