Maritza (Mary) Ortiz-Gúzman, 61, of Hartford, CT passed away peacefully Friday, October 21, 2022. Maritza was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of Rosa Guzman and Jose Miguel Ortiz. Maritza loved cooking, gospel music, and spending time with her children & grandchildren. Maritza will be remembered for her jokes, her passion for cooking for her family, and her contagious smile we all loved to put on her face. Maritza was and still remains the life of the party.

Maritza is survived by her four children, Vanessa, Josmary, Jose, and Josean Rodriguez all of Hartford, CT, her six grandchildren, Genesis M. Rivera-Rodriguez, Ismeraliz and Lizmar P. Ortiz-Rodriguez, Ferdy J. and Nellymar Alvalle-Rodriguez, and Luis Gomez-Rodriguez. She also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Yanieliz Morales-Ortiz, and Avery M. Stephens. Maritza also leaves behind her loving boyfriend of many years Carlos Rivera., brothers, sisters and nieces.
