Tatami USA Jr. Worlds Scholarship Challenge

Tatami USA has secured $1500 towards a scholarship to the Junior World Championships in Konya, Turkey. We challenge our community to MATCH or surpass this amount to DOUBLE the scholarship and grant two athletes $1500 each. All junior national team athletes competing in Turkey are eligible for the scholarships. Two names will be randomly selected from the Worlds team pool on a Tatami USA Instagram Live broadcast on October 16, 2022, awarding the prize to one male and one female athlete. No applications required for this scholarship.

If our community raises MORE than $1500, the total sum will be divided into two equal scholarships of over $1500 (ex: $1500 + $2500 = $4000......two scholarships of $2000 will be awarded). If the collected match amount surpasses $3000, we will divide the total into three equal scholarships. Tatami USA will post regular updates as the dollar amount increases.

Tatami USA calls on all vendors, dojos, clubs and sensei to help send athletes to Turkey with the singular focus of competing under the USA flag. Athletes, reach out to your network of schools, community businesses, and extended family to grow the pot of funds and support this powerful team at the Junior World Championships.
