Life Doesn't Stop for Cancer!
Donation protected
I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (Breast Cancer) a week ago... I'm 39, I am a single mom of 5 amazing kids (and I also have a new grandbaby!)
I just learned that I will have to start chemotherapy treatments as soon as possible, and will need surgery to remove the tumors afterwards. I have a full time job as a CNC Operator at a machine shop - which is a physically demanding job! So while many people can ease back into working after surgery, I will HAVE TO make sure I'm 100% ready so I don't injure myself further. I have been reassured that my job will still be there for me when I'm ready, but FMLA is not paid leave. So for the (at least) 6 to 8 weeks I'm unable to bring home a paycheck for rent, groceries, expenses related to treatments, and things for my kids and household... I'm at a complete loss. I do NOT like asking, but I'm going to need all the help I can get. THANK YOU in advance for any donation you may be able to make, or if the only thing you can do is share this campaign- thank you still!
