Walk again! Raising $75,000 to help Derek!

Hey everyone, I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and been apart of our journey towards getting Derek one step closer to walking!
A little back story:
In April 2017, Derek was involved in a serious motor cross accident resulting in a broken back, a severed spinal cord and two lacerated lungs. Everything changed for him and he was told he had a 0% chance of walking again.
With no feeling below his chest and no hope to walking again, Derek gave up the idea of any recovering of feeling or movement.
3 years after accident, we came across a procedure in Thailand that used electro stimulators in combination with stem cells to help promote the regrowth of spinal cords. Derek immediately applied and was accepted to the program. Our goal was to raise 100,000 usd dollars to chase this medical procedure, but were totally overwhelmed by the price. We also started to do a bit more research on what was best for Dereks condition and we decided that multiple round of just stem cells was going to be more beneficial for him. We did as much research as possible on clinics around the world have finally picked one that fits us incredibly!
Because Canada and the United States don't offer stem cells at this potency and for spinal cords, we are left with no option than to look elsewhere in the world. And because the stem cells are developed from healthy umbilical cords from healthy births, all of the amazing people who have offered to donate stem cells can't actually help us in particular :(. (However, reach out to your local organizations to see how you can donate or help!)
The program we have decided on is in Medellin, Columbia and we have been told Derek can get in as early as the end of January 2021! Everything you all have donated towards us has been so overwhelming and we are constantly floored by the generosity! This procedure is 55,000 usd which is half of what we were expecting, and we are getting closer everyday thanks to all of you.
We completely understand the times, and how not everybody has the means to help out, but we appreciate the shares and love just as much!
