Support Chris's Fight Against Cancer

We are looking to raise money for a young couple who are going through a difficult medical situation. While they are trying to manage on their own, it is a very difficult time. Chris is a young husband and father of two as well as a physical education teacher and a defensive line coach at Alfred University. This past summer, he was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma tumor in his nose and was told they would have to remove part of his nose to remove the tumor. Initially, the doctors thought the reconstruction could begin at the same time, however, the cancer was larger that they thought and the entire nose was removed with no reconstruction so that radiation could go directly to the area.

Chris is a fighter and was trying to work following the surgery but radiation, which was six (6) weeks, five (5) days a week, had horrific side effects. This left him unable to work and he has exhausted all of his sick days and has borrowed all of the leave time allowed by the school district. Chris has four (4) surgeries ahead for reconstruction, which will continue through June 2025. He has had to have IV treatments at $200/each due to losing so much weight and to help replenish vitamins to help him continue to fight this battle.

There are many expenses ahead that will include travel to Rochester, hotel expenses for Carly to be with him, lost wages and more. We are trying to take the financial worries off of Carly & Chris. Both of them are teachers and coaches who have always been there for others. They frequently opened their home for team dinners and set a seat at their table for the students that were unable to to be home for the holidays. Carly had to step down from coaching due to the circumstances, but has still been there for past and present students.

They have not asked for help, so we are hoping to get help raising money to cover the past and future expenses they are incurring while they navigate this horrendous ordeal. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated by all who know and love them. Thank you for your consideration.
