Uganda foundation for suicide prevention is a non political, non religious and non profit making umbrella organization, UFSP was formed in 2011 to prevent suicide in Uganda through education and advocacy. The foundation is a charitable organization registered by the government of uganda and it's the only suicide prevention organization in Uganda. Some of the causes of suicide in Uganda. Drug abuse and alcoholism, Mental illness, Depression and stress, Domestic violence, Effects of civil wars, Poverty, Who we are: we provide confidential support and advice to young and elderly people struggling with thoughts of suicide. Mission: To bring hope to those affected by suicide. Vision: we exist to reduce the number of people who take their own lives by shattering the stigma around suicide. An organization which speaks openly about suicide.

UFSP we would love to expand our services to all districts in Uganda. We appeal to you and to anyone at all who can help to aid/donate to our cause and change thousands of life of suicide survivors all across uganda, at the moment UFSP we work in five districts in Uganda and we would love to extend our services to all districts in Uganda to spread more awareness of mental health and suicide among the youth and elderly people in Uganda, but the reason why we have failed to achieve this and extend our services to all districts in Uganda we lack funds to help us in transport to reach out to other districts in Uganda, and in each district were we gone extend our services we want to have there an office were survivors of suicide and other people who want help from us can come and meet us for help this means we shall have to rent a room for our office in the district were we have extended our services, we call upon all our friends to come in and donate any little amount of funds

If he/ she is capable to donate this will help to prevent more cases of suicide in different areas in Uganda, and it will help to raise more awareness of mental health and suicide. Uganda foundation for suicide prevention we also want to start supplying food to some of the survivors of suicide in different communities in Uganda, many survivors of suicide are really in bad condition some eat once a day and many have cried to us to support them, we kindly request all our friends world wide to support us and donate any little amount one is capable to donate to help us start supplying and donating food stuffs to some of the survivors of suicide in Uganda. UFSP we used to have radio shows on different radios aiming at raising awareness of suicide and mental health.but this year we have failed to have any radio show to talk about suicide prevention and mental health, the reason is that radio station here to host some one has to pay 40 dollars to be hosted on any talk show.

And at the moment our foundation we lack funds to continue raising more awareness of suicide and mental health, yet radio stations are some of the best ways here in Uganda when it comes in raising awareness many people here in Uganda Listern to radios..we call upon all our friends world wide to support us so that we can go back on radios and we raising more awareness of suicide and mental health. UFSP our foundation at the moment we lack a proper computer to be used at our foundation head office in jinja district all our foundations information is hand written on papers which is not more safe we kindly request all our friends world wide to come in and support us so that we can get a proper computer to be used at our head office in jinja district...
