Butterfly Garden Eagle Project

My name is Karen Martinelli. I have started this GoFundMe for my daughter, Faith. Due to some BSA/GoFundMe rules, Faith is unable to do this on her own. Faith is working on her Eagle Project for BSA. She wants to build a butterfly garden for a preschool in our district. The little ones are having a butterfly release in May, and Faith would like to have the garden in place for them at that time. We need at least $1400 to build three 8X4 raised bed gardens, complete with butterfly-attracting flowers.

Faith has been a part of BSA for 4 years. She is a founding member of Troop 177G in New Jersey. She has held the position of Senior Patrol Leader for 3 of those 4 years. She has earned merit badges and participated in numerous service projects in the area. She is also involved with numerous other activities in school and out.

An Eagle Scout candidate shows their leadership abilities by running a project for a beneficiary (in Faith's case, a preschool), that will be useful to them. She has completed all other requirements, and now it is time for her project.

If Faith can earn her Eagle, it can make a big difference in her future. She wants to go to Nursing School, and having the Eagle in her resume can help her get into the schools that she would like to attend, as well as help her afterward, by showing potential employers that she is a leader and problem solver, as well as dedicated to whatever she sets her mind to. We are running out of time before her 18th birthday. If you could donate anything, she would appreciate it, and so would the preschool.
