Support For Mike Bekele And Family

We are looking to raise money for our friend, Mike Bekele (age 44) and his family. Mike is a loving husband and father of three children, ages 12, 9 & 6. 

Mike is a Farmingdale resident who is very involved in his children's activities. He also has been a teammate of our softball team for the past several years. 

Sadly, it has been a rough couple of years for Mike. It started when he suddenly required open heart surgery in 2016. He recovered from that, but earlier this year, he suffered a stroke, then underwent a second open heart surgery and an open splenectomy from which he has been recuperating. Unfortunately late in July, after swimming and while sitting on the steps of the pool, he passed out and fell back into the pool. He survived, but is currently on a wait-and-see basis. 

The funds are needed for babysitting and general living expenses, as the family now has a significant void in their income. 

100% of donations will go straight to his family.
