Today,  Hundreds More Trans Youth are homeless in the nation's capital and more continue to arrive everyday in hope of a better life.
With Your Help, "Casa Zoe" "Zoe's  Home" a 24 Supportive Home for Transgender Sex Workers will become a reality not just a dream.

About the Organizer:
My Name is Ruby Corado, I Am a 50 Year Old Transgender Woman many homeless youth call me "Mama Ruby" I have dedicated more than 25 years working for homeless youth in the nation's capital.  In 2015 I opened a 6 bed facility specifically for Transgender youth, One of the first Trans Led Homes in the United States.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/a-shelter-specifically-for-transgender-youth-to-open-in-the-district/2015/03/09/33e71a36-c68d-11e4-a199-6cb5e63819d2_story.html
Given it's popularity,  Many Trans Youth form across the United States come to Washington, DC in search of Transgender Related Health Care and Housing Support, Due to this, I now have a very long wait list and many nights, I struggle securing a safe space for trans  sex workers and many return to the same streets where zoe died last summer.

The Need For "Zoe's Home- Casa Zoe"
In 2019 I lost 16 Transgender women and men in my circle due to violence and poverty. 3 Were murdered, 6 Overdosed, 5 Frozed on the streets and 2 Died due to complications from AIDS. Given this alarming numbers, i reached out to Goverments Beuracreats, Politicians and other leaders, i was given some hope to receive support for "Zoe's Home" but nothing materialized and i continue to be given the same excuse Covid-19  has forced us to make bigs cuts, Sorry RUBY, its not going to happen this year!

Since May of this year, 2 Transgender Sex Workers lost their life due to violence, and as Washington, DC reopens after Covid-19 and things go back to normal, my fear of loosing many more increases.

I am asking for your support, so i can help many more,  short term, i want to provide those who are waiting with temporarity housing, Long Term, it would be my dream to raise enough money so i could buy a building to house  hundreds of Transgender Sex Workers and Those Who end up on the streets of the Nations Capital Washington, DC.

I recently celebrated my Birthday and I find myself strong and able to continue to do this work, I have learned many things including how to manage a non profit and housing programs for Transgender Homeless Sex Workers,
