Lopez family house fire
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of August 7, 2023, a fire erupted in a vacant home located in Elizabeth, NJ. The fire spread rapidly to the adjacent buildings, directly impacting the home of the Lopez family. Grechely and Giovanny were awakened from their sleep to find their home engulfed in flames. In a panic, they rushed to rescue their four year old daughter, Sophia, barely making it out of the house when the ceilings collapsed. In the rain and with only the clothes they had on, the family watched in shock as they lost everything. Tragically, a lifetime of personal belongings and bare necessities were all consumed in the fire.
The loss the Lopez family has endured is massive. There are truly no words to express the devastation and sadness they feel at this time. We are asking our community to unite in assisting this family during this difficult time. All monetary donations, large or small, will go to aiding them with necessities of food, clothing and housing.
Personal itemized donations such as toiletries, housewares, appliances, blankets, toys and clothing are greatly appreciated and will be collected on their behalf. Please contact Max DeLozier @ [phone redacted] to arrange drop off.
