U-Haul stolen with Loved ones Urns inside

Hello,

My name is Gabriale Voeltner, I am a single widowed mother of 4 that have come across some unfortunate times.

On January 27th 2023 we had spent afternoon and the majority of the evening loading up our 20-foot U-Haul truck in anticipation to move from our apartment downtown Denver to our new apartment in Westminster Colorado. Due to the fact that we had gotten done packing the U-Haul so late we wanted to be respectful of our new neighbors and not move in in the middle of the night.

At 11:00 p.m. January 27th I went out to look at the U-Haul one last time to be sure that it was locked and safely secured. I had come back to check on the U-Haul the next morning and it was gone.

I reached out to every tow company, I called the police department and there was absolutely no luck finding this U-Haul. All of our worldly possessions including my husband's urn if you keep sake items from him, my mother's earn and the very few keepsake items I had from her, our first family pets urn her footprints her very first collar were all packed in that truck.

The detective and I have both reached out to U-Haul several times and U-Haul has confirmed that there was no GPS tracker inside the truck I rented so unfortunately unless it's dumped there's no way to find it.

Everything we owned was in that truck except for the mattresses we slept on the night before and the clothes we had on our backs that night. I am reaching out for help because there is no way that I can replace everything that was lost on my own. At this current moment we sleep on mattresses on the floor with a few blankets and pillows that were donated to us to try help make us comfortable for the first few nights we stayed here.

I know there is no way to replace the sentimental things that were lost but I'm hoping that they will be found in return to us in due time! As for everything else all I can do is hope that we can get help to replace the stuff that was replaceable!

CBS4 and Fox 31 new are trying to help us find the stolen U-Haul. There was a news report on Sunday January 29th at 10:00 p.m. to inform the public of the stolen U-Haul and to report any abandoned 20 ft Arizona U-Haul trucks with a giant blue octopus on it!

Unfortunately, with everything we own in that truck and just having to pay so much to move into our new place replacing things are going to be a struggle. I am not very good at asking for help but at this point I do not know where else to turn. We are having to replace everything from clothing, shoes, toys, furniture, decorations, cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies and pet supplies. It is extremely hard for me to reach out and ask for help because I feel extreme guilt that I was not able to prevent this from happening. I am trying not to kill myself with the should a, could a, would a's!

For to any and everyone that does help in any way shape or form we are extremely grateful and for every eternal to you! All I want is my loved ones back and the things that belong to them so my children have them back!
