Jimmy's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
As many of you have heard, Jimmy Foss was involved in a horrible accident at home on March 9th. He fell while removing a big tree on his property. He was taken to the ER where they quickly learned that his pelvis was broken in two places and needed to be transported by Life Flight Ground (ground service that offers ICU-level care) for immediate care at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
By the following morning Jimmy was in surgery to place rods/screws in his pelvis to repair it. The surgery became more complicated than anticipated and recovery/healing time would now be 6-7 months. The following day they added 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung to his list of injuries. They are working on his shoulder but do not know the extent of damage at this point. Once he is released from the hospital he will go directly to rehabilitation. When he does get home, he is to be no weight bearing for 4-6 weeks. He and his family have a long road ahead of them, but with the help from family & friends we can unload some of his burden.
Jimmy is what family and friends call a "Jack of All Trades" and rightfully so. He would drop his own projects in a heartbeat to help others whether they are in need of a plumber, a carpenter, a wood cutter or simply need advice. He is always the first guy to volunteer!
The family asks that you keep Jim in your prayers. We ask that this amazing community can help this family keep their feet on the ground as Jimmy recovers!
