Help Abbie Turner with her Fight

After struggling to get over a respiratory infection, the worse was confirmed. New diagnosis: Stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to the lungs. They are no longer treating her with a curative intent, just trying to slow down the progression. Our hearts were broken, our lives turned upside down, again. With the help of a physician friend in the medical field, we were fortunate to get to Dr. Lisa Carey at UNC Chapel Hill, who happens to be one of the leading research professors of Triple Negative Breast Cancer in the country. After numerous tests and scans, Abbie was admitted into a clinical trial. The clinical trial requires that we travel to Chapel Hill multiple times a month, to receive treatment. Abbie is no longer working, due to the side effects of the chemo drugs, and also to maximize her time and energy toward her family as much as possible.
