Sacha's Medical Expenses

Back in July of this year, things were going great. I had finished my legislative internship and was ready to begin my new banking job. About two weeks into July I began to experience severe headaches where regular painkillers were not helping. It wasn’t until I began throwing up that I knew something was wrong. I asked my cousin to take me to the hospital and was taken in to do a CT scan of my head. A few hours later I was taken in to do an MRI because they had found something off.
 
Hours go by before the doctor came in to explain that they found an inoperable 5cm sizable brain tumor with fluid on my brain. The doctor informed me and my family that a brain biopsy would be necessary to understand what type of tumor this was. Furthermore, I would need a VP (ventriculoperitoneal) shunt to regulate the excess fluid in my brain. I then received a brain biopsy and a shunt in two separate surgeries. A few days later we received a diagnosis: a high-grade glioma also known as anaplastic astrocytoma.
 
I am a full-time student at the University of Central Florida with one semester left to graduate; I also do not have any health insurance so receiving the treatment I need has taken some time but I am now receiving chemotherapy and radiation by the grace of two wonderful doctors. I am also in need of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. The speech therapy has been recommended for me based off of my left-sided facial droop. The other therapies are needed because I currently have left-sided weakness.
 
 Given that I do not have any insurance, these medical bills are quite expensive. This GoFundMe will assist me in offsetting these costs of both my medication, treatment, and therapy.
