A Perfect Match! We are starting a GoFundMe for Brendan and Jessy as they both prepare for kidney transplant surgery on 7/12/23. Brendan will be donating his kidney to Jessy. Jessy is a 3 time survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma. Jessy has had many health challenges related to her treatment. She has had congestive heart failure, a stent in her LAD, a heart attack, and open heart surgery. Many rounds of chemo injured Jessy's kidneys. In Sept 2022, she had an aortic valve replacement. The surgery further injured her kidneys and she began dialysis immediately. In January, Jessy began the process of getting a kidney transplant. They were told it could take many years to find a match, but as fate would have it, Brendan is her match, yet again! Everyone who knows these two already knows how giving they are. Jessy is on the board of the HEADstrong Foundation and the Center City Girls Academy. Brendan is extremely generous, donating food and money (thru their pizza shop) to St. Chris, Philadelphia Police Department, and The Somerton Youth Organization, just to name a few. We are doing this to help make it easier and to show our support for Brendan, Jessy, and Mallea during the next couple months as they recover.
