Andy's Rescue

Hi my name is Amy, I am Andy's big sister. I am here to ask for help to get Andy the resources he needs to medically and financially recover from this terrible event.

Medically Andy is an undiagnosed or treated diabetic. He has been sick for some time, but he didn't realize what was going on. He is now in renal failure in the ICU in critical condition.

Sunday, January 22 Andy's 12 year old son found on the floor unresponsive. 911 was called- when they picked Andy up his blood sugar was well over 500, his blood pressure was in the 40's and his body temp was 90 degrees. On top of all that he has covid and pneumonia, he was on 90% oxygen.

Fast forward a week- he is still in critical condition in the ICU. They started dialysis this week and the latest he is on 45% oxygen. He is not awake and the machines are currently keeping him alive. Unfortunately because of the kidney damage they have not been able to treat the covid, his lungs are in bad condition.

Needless to say, he will have massive medical bills. But, aside from that he has regular bills- rent, utilities, insurance, etc..

Andy owns his own business, so no work no money. He has been so sick for a bit of time that he has gotten behind on his bills because he did not have the stamina to work.

We would love help in maintaining his home that he shares with his son while he is fighting for his life. His son is 1/2 time on the other side of Florida with his Mom. He was able to be there this week with me and his grandparents in his home visiting his Dad in the hospital.
