For many, the Ukraine Crisis is saddening but far removed from our daily life. I am Dr. Yuzefovich Khanna, and for me, this crisis is close to home. Having emigrated from Ukraine at the tender age of 9 years old, I saw firsthand how political unrest could separate you from what you call home and force you to create a new life. While the political atmosphere is still tense and foreign aid is uncertain, I believe that we can all come together as humans to make a difference in our own way. I would like to bring about a call to action for my fellow Ukrainians still living in this current reality. Ukrainian refugees fleeing to other countries are in need of basic aid to survive these chaotic times, and I believe we can all make a difference by donating to a cause like the Ukraine Jewish Relief Fund, run by the Ocala Chabad. All funds will be delivered to the Ukraine Jewish Relief Fund, which will be distributed directly to Ukrainian refugees in need. Funds will be matched by the Khanna Family. Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of the Ukrainian people who are truly struggling and fighting for their lives.
