Dear Friends, Filmmakers & Activists -
When Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, something profound was triggered inside me. It had to do with witnessing a great injustice, a blatant disregard for international law and a foreboding sense that a dangerous authoritarian leader was getting away with an unprovoked and unthinkable act of war.
Having completed three missions into Ukraine's far eastern Donbas region in the first year of Russia's all-out invasion, I've witnessed firsthand war crimes that are being committed daily. As an anti-war activist, journalist, and someone who cares deeply about humanitarian issues, I'm motivated like never before to assist in putting an end to this senseless and misguided war through the power of documentary film.
I'm reaching out to you—global citizens who are conscious of what's at stake—to secure your support for this impact film, aptly named UKRAINE UNDER FIRE. Your contribution will go toward all film production, directing, and editing and will be run through my socially driven film production company, Ramro Global LLC, which has successfully produced humanitarian films born from complicated countries like Libya, Lebanon, Colombia and Guatemala.
Through my unvarnished war reportage and by working with world-class Ukrainian filmmakers and journalists, UKRAINE UNDER FIRE aspires to capture the spirit of one nation’s heroic resistance that has inspired the entire world. While this film is slated to be an intimate portrayal of the war told by Ukrainians themselves, it’s also a show of international solidarity to stand up against a brutal, totalitarian regime.
As this unfathomable conflict crosses into its second year, UKRAINE UNDER FIRE is a film organized to catalyze our collective voice, help shape U.S. and global policy and boldly denounce Russia’s terrorist actions. Please join me on this journey and let’s stand in solidarity with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters and champion the ideals of freedom and democracy for the world.

FILM SYNOPSIS
On the dark anniversary of Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine, American journalist Jordan Campbell returns to the war-torn country on a mission to interview Ukrainians who have endured life under fire inside a geopolitical flashpoint that threatens global peace and security. With the war escalating each day, Campbell launches a series of poignant interviews, most notably with Olga Butko, a celebrated news anchor for RADA Television and a catalyzing national voice for Ukrainians. Campbell’s enlightened conversations with Butko and a cross-section of Ukrainians spotlight the atrocities of Russia’s unprovoked invasion, including war crimes, possible acts of genocide and a decades-long misinformation campaign. Campbell travels to the front lines near Bakhmut where he embeds with volunteer combat medic Peter Fouché (UK) who is risking everything to achieve Ukraine’s total victory. Campbell’s journey deep into the disaster and darkness reveals the Ukrainian’s incredible resilience and bravery at the center of the most significant conflict in Europe since World War II.
ADVOCACY & VOICE
At its most foundational level, UKRAINE UNDER FIRE is a documentary film that celebrates incredible Ukrainian resilience and international solidarity in the face of Russian aggression in what has become an unrelenting war machine that is responsible for killing an estimated 7,500+ Ukrainian citizens, internally displaced nearly 6.5 million and sent over 7 million fleeing the conflict into Europe and around the world.
