Ukrainian family fleeing the war

Hi, my name is Val Lipenko. As you well know in February of this year Russia started a brutal war against people of Ukraine.

My brother was able to get his wife and kids across the border to Poland. He himself remained in Ukraine.

Scrambling for only the necessities they were able to flee the south region of Ukraine (Kherson), which is now occupied by Russia.

I was able to get them across the Mexican border to United States, where are they slowly settling now. My Sister-in-law Olga, and two nieces: Dariia and Sophia, 18 &12 years of age.

they are just starting to learn the language and the culture of the country. They are in needs of different simple necessities while residing in my place.

With this fundraiser, I would like to gather some help in their independence with food, transportation, medical expenses, closing, hopefully later including continuation of their education.

Both girls are in school. The youngest just finished the fourth grade and is currently in the summer school, trying to communicate and learn more. The older one is in college taking ESL course. Their mom is the busiest, she’s taking ESL course, in the process of getting a drivers license and also started a beauty school program.
