Ukrainian Orphans Need Your Help
Tax deductible
Children in Ukraine have been living with violence and devastation now for more than 8 months. Sub-zero temperatures amidst an energy crisis will bring even greater difficulties. Foster families will be especially hard-pressed to keep children warm, safe, and healthy when electricity, heat, and essentials are scarce.
Sunflower Academy is a Ukrainian-based NGO founded in 2018 to provide academic support to foster children in Ukraine. After the war started, we expanded our scope and started helping foster families buy day-to-day essentials, access critical services, and relocate to safer regions in Ukraine. Now that the new school year has begun, we would like to provide gently used or inexpensive laptops/tablets to children in our academy so they may continue their education.
To date, we have raised ~$52,000, supporting 714 children. Many more families remain on our waiting list. 100% of donations have gone directly to foster families, who have been vetted through legal review, Ukrainian social workers, and monthly follow-ups.
We seek donations to support foster families in our program with basic needs and give each of the ~600 children who are members of Sunflower Academy a device for remote learning. We need your contribution to make it happen.
