Ukrainian refugees starting new life from scratch

Hello. My name is Kseniia and I am organizing this gofundme on behalf of my brother Eugene and his fiance, who must start a new life after fleeing the war in Ukraine.
In my brother’s words:
Hello. My name is Eugene. I’m 32 years old, and until recently, I was a successful videographer and film editor based in Kyiv, Ukraine. One of the projects I most recently worked on was a 120 minute documentary about the legacy of the Holocaust in Ukraine, titled “Never Again”. My fiance’s name is Anna. She is 21. Before the war, Anna was a busy student at Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.
I never imagined that the horrors of war would knock at our doorstep. In a moment, your life and plans are gone. For many years I worked hard to purchase a small apartment located in Boryspil – a small city in Kyiv's suburbs that is famous for its airport. Our windows face the airport area. Then, early morning on the 24th of February, we awoke to the terrible roar of booming explosions. We came out on the balcony to see the airport on fire. In the circumstances like that, you don’t think. I felt shocked, panicked, fearful and confused. My hands shook and there was only one idea racing through my mind: THIS IS WAR. Anna and I ran inside, grabbed our most important documents, and jumped in the car. Finally, we made it across the border in Slovakia, where we rested in a Refugee camp. From there we continued to Portugal with fellow refugees.
Already in Portugal we learned that the window of opportunity opened up for us- USA is ready to receive up to 100,000 Ukrainians. We flew to Mexico and crossed the border to USA on foot. And now we're finally at my mother Olga and her partner Boris house. But we're still facing an uncertain future.
Before everything changed, the two of us were excited to plan our upcoming wedding. Now we must start from scratch. I know we will find our way: we are both hardworking and persistent, and I will do everything to find a job to support my family. But we face many challenges, and though it is really difficult for me to ask, but I ask you now for your support to help us get back on our feet. In order to work I need to buy some pieces of expensive professional equipment: cameras, computer etc. I'm doing my best to settle up and find a job and become a decent member of this society.

All funds raised through GoFundme will be used not only to help with our basic needs but also for me to get the job in the field of my professional skills.
We are grateful in advance for any help, and wish you peace and happiness.
