Ukrainian Scouts Reunion

My name is Maryna Kliuchnikova. I am a Ukrainian scout from Kyiv.

A member of a group called "Ilja Muromez scout team" (part of the National Organization of Scouts of Ukraine (WOSM))

Currently because of the war about half of our participants are scattered around the world, mostly in Europe. The only chance for us to reconnect, to stay alive as an organization is to join international jamborees, organized by European scouts. So last year we joined a jamboree in Germany. We managed to gather 37 Ukrainian children and youth from 11 countries.

This year we would like to join another jamboree in Europe. The financial provision for us, in this case, is not as good as it was last year. This time each Ukrainian participant would need to pay about 500 euros to participate. We did a poll among our participants. About 30 of them are willing to participate, but about 75% noted they can only participate if there is a discount of a minimum of 200 euros. We addressed a German scouting fund called "Blaugelb hilft Gelbblau"

But the suggested help from this fund is not enough. So we are looking into raising 5000 euros to make it possible for our young scouts to participate.

Info about the event:

event is called Bundes Fahrt,

will take place in Sweden from the 21st of July till the 4 of August, in the area of Gothenburg,

It includes 10 days of hiking and 5 days of camp with German scouts from VCP and BdP Scouting organizations. Targeted age group from 11 years.

The funds will be distributed to Maryna Kliuchnikova who will ensure they are redistributed to support this cause
