Help my Ukrainian family rebuild their life
Donation protected
To anyone and everyone that I have ever met, spent time with, smiled at, helped, played music with etc. I need you to stop scrolling and read this.
I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. My family immigrated to Canada because this war was always a threat. I feel guilty for being safe right now, when the rest of my family is living minute to minute, rebuilding their lives from scratch. I appreciate the messages of support I have received, but if you really want to make a difference, please consider helping my family who left everything in Ukraine, by donating anything you can for the following necessities.
Any funds will go directly to buying the following to my grandmother, cousins, nephew and their family (8 people in total)
- €500 - for food during their initial arrival in Poland and the following weeks
- €1800 - clothes, luggage, toilet paper, shampoo, etc
- €200 - gas - driving to/from Warsaw to pick up family from Zamosc (near Ukraine border)
- €500 - unexpected expenses that may arise
- €5000 - tickets for 8 people flying out of Poland (ideally to Canada, where my parents are)
These numbers are just estimates. It is very likely that they will need more since they are rebuilding their lives from scratch.
Any money that is not immediately needed for them will be passed on to other Ukrainians fleeing the country.
We have the ability to send the money directly to their Ukrainian accounts.
