UK's Healthcare Workers for Ukraine
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Patrycja. I am a doctor working across the Paediatric and Neonatal Department in Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
I am a Polish-Ukrainian who studied medicine in the beautiful city of Lviv in Ukraine.
I am organising this fundraiser simply because I cannot watch my Ukrainian brothers and sisters fighting this war, losing their homes, lives, loved ones. I have to act. We have to act.
I have lived in Ukraine for more than 6 years and have medical friends who are now taking care of those wounded in this war.
They are in desperate need of everything! Supplies are running low. They can provide medical care as long as they have the means to do so and that is a worry now. They need medical equipment as simple as bandages, cannulas or medicines and as complex as laryngoscopes or power-generators to keep life-support running when power is cut off.
Ukraine is facing a humanitarian catastrophe. Whole cities are cut off from supplies, and who can is fleeing the country. Some places are impossible to escape from. Orphanages, hospitals including Neonatal and Paediatric Wards are being evacuated to the basements/makeshift bunkers. Women are giving birth while being shelled.
They need our support.
I have direct contact with doctors in Ukraine ( my friends from University). I am up-to-date with their current needs; hence you can be certain that if you support my fundraiser, the help will be accurate and received by those who need it the most. I am taking full responsibility for this fundraiser and will be coordinating all the transports of bought supplies to Ukraine.
On the pictures: blankets, hats and other supplies kindly donated by NNU ( receiver: Obstetric Hospital in Ukraine).
