Ukuleles for Haddon Heights Elementary Schools

Hi my name is Declan McGlynn. I am a Boy Scout with Troop 67 in Haddon Heights working towards my Eagle Scout. When considering my Eagle Scout project idea, I knew I wanted to give back to the Haddon Heights community and Glenview Elementary seemed like no better place to do it since I had gone to school there for so many years. I also wanted my project to honor Adam Furlong, a Glenview alum and my brother’s best friend, who had recently passed away. Adam’s love for music, which began at Glenview, inspired me.

My project includes purchasing 2 class sets of ukuleles as well as adding storage in order to enhance the music program at Glenview and 7th Avenue School. Coincidentally, the elementary schools have been wanting to add ukuleles to the curriculum for the past several years.

My goal is to raise $2,000 in order to purchase the ukuleles and any other costs. Any additional proceeds will go to the Haddon Heights School District music program.
