Helping Homeless Veterans UK
Donation protected
After over 4 years of helping to assist over 150 Veterans into their own accomodation it is now time to utilise my skills by setting up this CIC with two amazing trustees and ambassadors as well as a huge team of volunteers.
Using the knowledge that we have gained using legislation that is in place to help house our veterans, we wish to continue to work with local authorities and councils to make sure that they are all abiding by the Acts that are in place.
We have contacts with over 80 local authorities and councils who are abiding by legislation and we hope to continue and make many more working relationships.
However we can only carry out this work with the help of the general public. Whilst working with legislation will save a huge amount of money there are still costs involved with providing deposits or rent in advance as well as furniture, clothing and welfare support etc etc.
We will carry on our working relationships with many other organisations and charities and we have the full support of many influential individuals within government and the MOD.
100% of money raised will be used to help our veterans as nobody is taking any wages.
I have been asked to go along this route of setting this CIC up by many friends and supporters of the work that i do and whilst i am no fan of GO Fund Me pages, this is the only way i can raise the funds needed.
Our two Trustees are Lord Stephen of Westbury who has great influence in the charity sector and is also a veteran himself and we have WOII Neil Hague who is currently serving in The Royal Military Police and has a huge amount of contacts and influence combined with his job role.
Our Two Ambassadors are Samantha Bunford and Samantha Shapley who are both so passionate about making a difference to the Veterans that have served our country and have worked alongside myself for over 2 yrs.
The volunteers we have in place have been with me for over 3 years and together we make a formidable team and we work on the ethos of there is no ( I ) in Teamwork.
So there we are. We are hoping to become registered as a full charity within 6 months and whilst you may all say "" Not Another Charity "" which i understand please look at my record of housing veterans which i believe speaks for itself. Thankyou
