Hello. Thank you for taking the time to learn about Uniondale Knights Youth Football. UKYF is a privately run, non-profit and tax exempt youth football organization going into its fourth year of existence in Uniondale, NY. We are governed by the Nassau County Youth Football League.
In our efforts to bring UKYF to the level it needs to be, we've had to raise our registration fees to help cover the costs of insurance, league dues and general operating expenses. This has caused many of our young players and their families to struggle with paying the new, higher registration and equipment fees. While we at UKYF do not want to lose all those dedicated players and parents who have supported us since our inception, the fact of the matter is we can not continue to operate effectively without generating more income.
This year we have ramped up our fundraising efforts as an organization and expanded our board of directors to provide fresh, new perspectives and innovative ideas to help us grow as a program. Because these changes are new, we realize it will take some time for our members to adjust. We need your help! Opening day is 9/13/15 and despite our sincerest efforts to change and improve, we are still behind in our operating costs.
Our 11 year old team and their parents need help covering costs for registration, equipment and uniforms. Currently we only have a fraction of our 25 players with equipment and registered and the entire team needs new uniforms for 2015. With just under a month before the first game the 11 year olds are looking for ways to earn money fundraising while continuing to practice and work hard as a team without equipment. Please help us get these kids in equipment and uniforms. Donate as much as you are able to. It would mean alot to this team and to the Uniondale Knights Youth Football program as a whole.
