Help Us Cover a Portion of Lucy's Surgery Expenses

Oct 22 -- We are very close (less than $200 CAD away!) to meeting our initial goal. This is due to some people sending us e-transfers to avoid GFM processing fees. We will be leaving this fundraiser open for a little while longer. Unfortunately, Lucy is not recovering well from her second surgery. A nerve is shot and not returning, which will likely mean that we have to take her for one final surgery. This means we will exceed our expenses ($8,000 CAD) by another $1,500 - $2,000 CAD. This is a rough estimation — so, anything helps.

A couple of weeks ago, our beloved little cat Lucy (2 1/2 y.o.) suffered an accident and broke her femur. After an expensive visit to an emergency veterinary clinic, as well as two pricey operations at another vet, we’re happy to say that Lucy is doing well and on the road to recovery. However, the bills that have accrued during this time have taken their toll on our financial situation. As two precariously employed individuals, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to help with the cost. We are setting a goal of $2500 to offset a portion of Lucy’s total veterinary bills, which are estimated to be around $8000 by the time she is fully recouped. Any little bit helps.
