FRIENDS AND FAMILY: I NEED YOUR HELP!
Mark Twain once said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why”.
The day I joined the Athletic Training Club at my high school in 2015, was the day I found out why. The club combined my love for sports with my attraction to medicine. I had previously been enrolled in the biomedical academy at school, but, interesting as it was, I lacked direction and didn’t know what I might do with it in the future.
With every practice and every game; every stretch and every tape job, I fell more and more in love.
That’s why I applied for the UM Summer Scholars Program for sports medicine in hopes of expanding that knowledge—and I got in! It was the best Christmas gift I could have been given. But it came with a price, a price that I am not fully able to afford.
That’s where you come in! The cost of the program is a hefty $7000. The three-week program will not only develop my skills but give me college credits, too! It’s a truly great opportunity and I would appreciate any donation big or small to help make it happen.
