Uma's Haven a no-kill Cat Sanctuary

Donation protected
I have been running the Bradshaw Mountain Wildlife Association a non-profit sanctuary for injured and orphaned wild animals and injured, abused, leukemia and FIV cats, and abandoned dogs for the past 26 years and we have been located on the same property all that time.  We are located on a unique, peaceful, beautiful piece of land but it is located deep in the Prescott National Forest down 14 miles of dirt road and over an hour from Prescott were we have to take our injured animals to the doctors and go to to get supplies. We also have a very hard time getting or keeping volunteers because the road is so bad that no one wants to drive out to us.  After 26 years we have decided if we want to continue rescuing animals for the next 21 years or more  we need to move a little closer to civilization.   This will be a big move for us because we currently house over 100 animals.  In order to purchase property closer to town the land is much more expensive.  We can not sell our current place until all the animals are moved to it's new location, we are trying to raise money for the down payment to purchase a new place.  Once we move closer to town we will be running the Bradshaw Mt. Wildlife under the name of Uma's Haven which will be a no-kill senior cat sanctuary.  Uma was an abused kitten that we rescued 2 years ago that was thrown against a wall and had her back broken.  Even though Uma was very badly abused she still loved people and could get around the main house where she lived just as fast as all the other cats.  Uma only lived 1 1/2 years because of her injuries but she was one of the most loved cats at our facility and not a day goes by that we do not think about her.  That is why we are honoring her by having our cat sanctuary named after her.  We will be taking in teenage cats, leukemia and aids cats, and abused cats.  We specialize in non-adoptable cats that will have a permanent home at the sanctuary.   We have found a place in Chino Valley, AZ and are hoping we can purchase and move to the new place this year if all goes as plan.  Wish us luck.

We are hoping that we can move in the next few months

We are a non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 so your donations are tax-deductible under Tax ID #86-0798211.
