UMass Amherst Women's Ice Hockey 2023-2024

The UMass Amherst Women's Ice Hockey team is a student run organization that competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Women’s division 1. Our athletes come from all over North America to attend the University of Massachusetts and play for our program. We are a highly competitive team that has been invited to 18 of the last 20 national championship tournaments.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Due to a clerical error that is out of our control, we have been denied funding from our university for the first time in our history. This means that the 2023-24 team will be funded entirely through fundraising and player dues.

Our location, in Amherst, MA, poses a challenge for travel since there are only 3 opponents in the ACHA Women’s D1 that are within a single day bus ride. This fact forces us to either fly or take 2-day bus rides to the majority of our away games, both of which are very expensive. We are also responsible for expenses related to game and practice ice time, on ice game officials, equipment, uniforms, hotels, rental vehicles, EMTs for home games, and our coaching staff.
