UMD Club Field Hockey- Hocktoberfest Tournament
Tax deductible
Every year, UMD Club Field Hockey hosts our annual Hocktoberfest tournament, where we invite teams to participate in a weekend of competitive gameplay at the University of Maryland, while supporting a charitable cause. This year, we have chosen to support Fight For Children, a non-profit that helps individuals, organizations, and communities leverage the power of sports to improve the lives of underserved youth.
Sports are a lifeline for young children, yet many low-income families are unable to afford to provide their children with these opportunities. There are a variety of local organizations that provide accessible, free programs and equitable services to youth in undeserved communities. Fight For Children increases the capacity of nonprofits to provide high quality, accessible programs that deliver life-changing benefits to young people. Right now, getting kids outside in a safe, fun, nurturing environment, surrounded by coaches and mentors, is more important than ever.
