UMich MT21 Fundraiser for Black Lives Matter
Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference? We're the senior class of Musical Theatre BFA majors at the University of Michigan, and we're raising money to benefit Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (via Thousand Currents), and any donation will help make an impact. If you enjoyed watching our senior entrance, please consider making an additional donation to this fund we care so deeply about. If you can't afford to give, consider leaving our entrance running on a loop, as all money made from views will also be going to this movement. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. (BLM) is a home to Black folks and our global allies, as we demand a world where Black people are liberated. Founded in 2013 by Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi in response to the acquittal of the man charged with Trayvon Martin’s murder, BLM is a chapter-based, member-led organization with chapters in the U.S., UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate White supremacy and build power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes through its educational and charitable activities. We support the lives of the Black queer and transgender communities, the disabled, those with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives. BLM’s activities will primarily consist of the following: -Creating national and global campaigns. BLM will do this by creating global opportunities for mass-scale impact, as well as amplifying the activities of chapters. -Supporting the work of chapters as they represent BLM-Providing resources and key leadership in developing global regions.-Investing in Rapid Response Chapter Needs.-Black Lives Matter Arts+Culture.
