No Giving Up

On September 21, 2001 Sean's life changed forever when he sustained a spinal cord injury playing high school football. Despite being told that he'd be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, he continued to keep a smile on his face and a positive outlook on life--a remarkable, and difficult, thing to do at 17-years-old.
Faced with an uncertain future, he attacked everything with a "No Giving Up" mentality--he went to college, plays wheelchair rugby, and even started his own business. Not willing to stop there, Sean underwent several surgical procedures to return some of the function he lost in his hand and arm, in order to make his daily life a bit easier. Even when he was hit with debilitating, unexplained pain, which rendered him bedridden, he continued to push himself to strengthen his mind and body, because he knew there was "No Giving Up".
Sean has fought hard, through the pain and hardship, and is now strong enough to start getting out of bed and regaining his independence; unfortunately, his current vehicle, which he has had for 14 years, has become dangerously unreliable, and at times, refuses to even start. Without a specialized vehicle with a ramp, he is unable to leave his house for doctor appointments, physical therapy, or to continue working towards achieving his goals.
I had to really work hard to convince Sean to allow me to start this GoFundMe, as he hates having to ask for help. But Sean has done so much for himself already, and everyone needs a little help sometimes. I am asking you to donate as you are able, in whatever amount you are able, and to consider the daunting task of raising the kind of money it takes to buy a new vehicle. A brand new specialized vehicle costs around $60,000; a used one is around $40,000-50,000.
Sean is an incredible person and he has worked so hard to get where he is. Let's come together and help him regain his lost independence. He's come so far when he could have quit at anytime, but he knows that there is NO GIVING UP.
