Un sorriso per Rahig

UN SORRISO PER RAHIG

Rahig è una bambina sudanese di 5 anni, e quella che vedete è il suo viso … o meglio, solo una parte di esso. Rahig, purtroppo, è affetta da una malformazione facciale che, oltre a deturparla, le impedisce di respirare correttamente attraverso il naso, esponendola a diverse patologia dell’apparato respiratorio: anche il canale lacrimale è compromesso.
L’esistenza di Rahig sta fortunatamente per cambiare: grazie all'impeccabile organzzazione dell'ONG Emergenza Sorrisi  , un’equipe medica  la opererà ad ottobre 2019 presso l'ospedale Gemelli di Roma, e finalmente Rahig potrà sorridere e condurre una vita normale.
I costi dell’operazione, del viaggio da e per il Sudan e dell'alloggio della mamma di Rahig a Roma sono sono coperti dall'ONG Emergenza Sorrisi   con il contributo della Fondazione Terzo Pilastro Internazionale   e della  Onlus Flying Angels  (che ha offerto il trasporto aereo); ci sono però altri costi da sostenere per le 6-8 settimane in cui Rahig e la mamma si fermeranno in Italia: la famiglia non ha i mezzi per sostenere queste spese, né eventuali costi per cure mediche una volta rientrati in Sudan.

In particolare, oltre al vitto e ad altre spese quotidiane, Rahig e la mamma necessitano il sostegno di Ali, un cugino che vive da anni a Torino e che le aiuta come traduttore e mediatore. Ali sarà presente in tutti i momenti cruciali (all'arrivo, in occasione di esami, operazioni e visite mediche) ma deve spostarsi da e verso Torino e pagarsi vitto e alloggio a Roma.

Per questo un gruppo di amici di Ali si è mobilitato con diverse azioni di raccolta fondi a livello locale: io ho pensato pensato a una campagna di crowfunding per permettere ad amici e persone di buona volotnà di contribuire da tutto il mondo.
E'necessario raggiungere la cifra indicata entro inizio novembre 2019.  Basta un piccolo contributo  per partecipare a questa grande e bella inIziativa collettiva, che permetterà a Rahig di fare il primo vero sorriso!

A SMILE FOR RAHIG

Rahig is a 5 year old Sudanese girl, she is suffering from a facial malformation which prevents her from breathing properly through the nose, exposing her to different pathologies of the respiratory system: even the lacrimal canal is compromised.

The existence of Rahig is fortunately about to change: thanks to the NGO Emergenza Sorrisi  , the child has been operated  in October 2019 at the Gemelli hospital in Rome. 

The main costs of the operation, travel to and from Sudan and Rahig mother’s housing in Rome are paid by the NGO Emergenza Sorrisi with the contribution of the International Third Pillar Foundation and the Flying Angels non-profit organization; however, there are other costs to be covered for the months in which Rahig and her mother will stay in Italy: the family does not have the means to pay these expenses, nor any costs for medical treatment once they return to Sudan.

In particular, in addition to  living and  other daily expenses, Rahig and her mother need the help of Ali, a cousin living in Italy, who assists them as a translator and mediator. Ali has been and will be present at all crucial moments (on arrival, on the occasion of examinations, operations and medical examinations) but he must move to and from Turin (where he lives) and pay for his housing and living in Rome.

I am an Ali’s friend and I have thought of a crowfunding campaign to allow friends and good will people to contribute from all over the world.

It is necessary to reach the amount indicated by November 2019.
A small contribution is enough to participate in this great and beautiful collective initiative, which will allow Rahig to make the first real smile!
