Una casa per Arianna: aiutaci a salvare una vita

Cari amici e familiari,

Mi chiamo Arianna e voglio condividere la mia storia con voi. Sono nata il 13 dicembre 1997 a Firenze e, attualmente, risiedo a Pistoia con i miei genitori, Cristiano Calamari e Mireia Fores Soler.

A cinque mesi dalla mia nascita, mi è stata diagnosticata una grave encefalopatia, una condizione che ha reso la mia vita un'incessante lotta. Nel 2000, sono stata riconosciuta invalida civile al 100%. Non posso parlare né camminare, e ogni giorno è un'ardua battaglia per me e per i miei genitori.

Ma la mia battaglia non finisce qui. Nel corso del tempo, si è aggiunta una nuova difficoltà: la Sensibilità Chimica Multipla(MCS) . Questa patologia, riconosciuta dai medici Dott. Saverio Dodizzi, Dott. Marco Armellini dell'ASL 4 di Prato e Dott. Andrea Valeri, ha reso la mia vita ancor più delicata. Non posso essere esposta a nessun agente contaminante, come profumi, detersivi o prodotti chimici, altrimenti potrei avere convulsioni e attacchi epilettici che potrebbero persino portarmi alla morte.

I miei genitori si sono dedicati a tempo pieno a prendersi cura di me, ma questa responsabilità ha reso difficile per loro mantenere un lavoro stabile. Non posso essere lasciata mai sola, e ogni attività quotidiana, dal vestirmi al mangiare, richiede la loro costante attenzione.

Ora, la nostra situazione si è complicata ulteriormente. Siamo costretti a lasciare la nostra casa attuale perché i proprietari la rivogliono. Ma la vera sfida è trovare un nuovo rifugio adatto alle mie esigenze. Deve essere un luogo isolato e incontaminato, l'unico tipo di ambiente che posso tollerare.

Dopo mesi di ricerca, sembra che abbiamo finalmente trovato una piccola casetta tra i boschi dell'Appennino Toscano, ma ha bisogno di lavori di ristrutturazione e costa € 50.000,00. Purtroppo, con le poche garanzie che possiamo offrire, nessuna istituzione finanziaria ci concede un prestito.

Viviamo costantemente nell'angoscia perché dobbiamo lasciare la nostra casa e un trasferimento in un luogo non adatto potrebbe mettere a rischio la mia vita.

Chiediamo il vostro aiuto e sostegno. Ognuno di voi, amici e familiari, può partecipare nella misura che preferisce per aiutarci a realizzare questo obiettivo cruciale per la mia sopravvivenza.

Dear family and friends,

My name is Arianna and I would like to share my story with you. I was born in Florence, on December 13, 1997, and at the moment I am living with my parents, Cristiano Calamari and Mireia Fores Soler.

Five months after I was born I was diagnosed with a severe form of ENCEPHALOPATHY, a condition which has made my life a constant battle. In the year 2000, I was given 100% civil invalidity. I cannot walk or talk and this makes every day of my life a very difficult battle for my parents and myself.

But my battle doesn't finish here. Sad to say another difficulty has arisen for me: MCS Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. This disorder has been recognized by doctors Dott. Saverio Dodizzi, Dott. Marco Armellini from Prato ASL 4 and Dott. Andrea Valeri, and has made my situation even more delicate. I cannot be exposed to contaminating agents such as perfumes, detergents, and cleaning products otherwise I will have convulsions or epileptic seizures which could even be fatal.

My parents have dedicated their lives 24/7 to taking care of me, but this responsibility has made it very difficult for them to hold down a stable job. I can never be left alone therefore daily activities from getting dressed to eating require their full-time attention.

Now our situation has become even more complicated. We must leave the house where we live as the owners are asking for it back. But the real challenge is finding a new home that will be suitable for my needs. It must be in an uncontaminated and isolated area as this is the only kind of place that I can tolerate.

After months of searching, we seem to have found a tiny house in the Tuscan Apennines although it does need restoration work to adapt it to my needs. The house costs 50,000 Euro. Sadly without a guarantor no financial institution will allow us a loan.

We live in the constant worry of having to leave our home and moving to an inappropriate place which could put my life at risk.
