Una mano al brazo del Oso taquero

Hello friends, family, and compassionate community members,

I am reaching out to you today with a plea for support. Our dear friend and Chef, Oso Campos, was recently struck by a car while riding his bike. I am asking for your help because everyone that knows Oso knows that he is always helping others.

On the night of December 23, 2023, Oso was cycling home after his night shift at the restaurant as he usually does. However, on this night a reckless driver ran into him leaving him injured and his bike broken. To make matters worse, the driver also took off and avoided all consequences.

The physical toll on Oso has been immense. The accident resulted in emergency surgery—Oso’s collar bone was broken into two pieces, his shoulder had to be screwed back into place with seven screws. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. He is still undergoing extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation.

As you can imagine, the costs associated with medical bills and surgery and ongoing therapy are substantial. The accident has not only taken a toll on Oso’s health, but it has also presented significant financial challenges. Oso is doing everything in his power to support himself during this period of economic hardship but he is still unable to work.

We, his friends, want to express our compassion for him by sending some love in the form of this small plea. We have set up this GoFoundMe campaign to provide Oso with financial support. Your contributions will go directly towards covering his medical bills, rehabilitation expenses and bike repairs.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on Oso’s ability to access the care he continues to need. Additionally, sharing this campaign with your network will help us reach a wider audience. We also hope that this campaign will help raise awareness about driving carefully and sharing the road with cyclists.

Me dirijo a ustedes con un llamado de apoyo. Nuestro querido amigo y chef, Oso Campos, fue recientemente tumbado por un auto mientras regresaba en bicicleta de su turno nocturno laboral en el restaurante.

Oso, es conocido por su generosidad, está en sesiones de rehabilitación física, ya que tuvo que ser operado por una fractura de clavícula.

La carga financiera está algo elevada, ya que Oso no puede trabajar durante estos momentos pues se encuentra inhabilitado de su brazo derecho.

Para ayudar a Oso, hemos decidido armar ésta campaña en GoFundMe para cubrir sus facturas médicas, gastos de rehabilitación y reparación de la bicicleta. Cada contribución, sin importar su tamaño, impactará significativamente.
