Mission
To celebrate Jake Peterson’s life by contributing to his passion for providing children with meaningful, positive relationships and experiences during their young and formative years.

About
Jake Peterson passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2021. At just 26 years old and engaged to be married, Jake had so much life ahead of him that he would have surely filled with the many exciting events and experiences he enjoyed. Jake had varied interests and was often making plans for his next adventure, everything from fishing in Canada to cheering on his favorite professional sports team (go Vikes!), catching a play or live concert at the local theater to hopping on a rollercoaster at an amusement park. Even more important to Jake was sharing his passion for these experiences with friends, loved ones, and especially children. With admission passes in hand, Uncle Jake was always finding ways to introduce his youngest family members to the joy and anticipation that a couple of tickets could bring.

To honor Jake’s legacy as the favorite uncle and his passion for giving children special experiences and memories, his family has organized a foundation to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. Uncle Jake's Foundation will contribute 100% of its proceeds to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization to fund event admission tickets to a variety of local experiences in the Twin Cities area. Participants will be able to choose from experiences like those listed below to offer youth in the BBBS community the exposure and opportunity to see and enjoy the arts, sports, and many other amusements.

·         Professional Sports Events
·         Theater Tickets
·         Amusement Parks
·         Arena Shows and Events
·         And more…

Through this charitable fund, donations are accepted in Jake’s memory and put in their entirety toward our mission to provide positive, meaningful relationships and experiences for the youth in our community. Your contributions help us honor Jake’s life and legacy while having a valuable impact on the lives of young people, for which we are endlessly grateful.
